THE MEASUREMENT OF APERTURE TRANSMISSION COEFFICIENTS

Abstract

The transmission coefficients of circular, elliptical, and square apertures in a plane conducting screen are determined from measurements of the far-zone scattered field in the direction of incidence. The measurements were carried out at K-band frequencies using an image-plane technique. Experimental values of the transmission coefficient are compared with results of a number of theoretical formulations.
