TESTS OF TOTAL TEMPERATURE PROBES

Abstract

Performance and evaluation tests were conducted on 4 total-temperature thermocouple probes which were designed for jet-engine applications. The tests included the determination of the rate of response, the recovery factor, and radiation and conduction effects. The data are summarized in tabular form.
