Theory of Operator Fields

Abstract

Results are presented of a study of operators and their representation in terms of basic operators. The topics covered are: properties of basic functions, linear operator equations, an averaging process defined for operator fields, the variation principle for operator fields, and a physical interpretation of operator fields.
