Transistor Shift Registers

Abstract

Three types of high-speed transistor shift registers are discussed. The high speed (3 to 5 microsec per shift pulse) is made possible by the use of 1- and 2-transistor non-saturating bistable circuits. The design of these circuits and their limitations when used as shift registers are discussed.
