FEASIBILITY OF A CLOSE SUPPORT SSM SYSTEM. PART 1. DESIGN DATA

Abstract

An evaluation of the Army's guided missiles indicated a need for close-support and short-range missiles to cover a zone of about 60 naut mi from the enemy borders. Recommendations are presented for solid-propellant type missiles with 1500-lb pay loads for a nominal range of 30 to 75 naut mi. Preliminary configuration designs are included.
