FUNGUS RESISTANCE OF PLASTICS

Abstract

Additional thermosetting molded plastics were tested for fungus resistance by the moist chamber method. To determine the best means of obtaining optimal moisture conditions within the Petri dish, several plastic laminates were tested with porous clay covers instead of glass covers. The porous covers eliminated possible interference by excess water in the Petri dish test and resulted in more optimal conditions for the growth of fungi. (See also AD-22 313)
