J-47 JET ENGINE COMPRESSOR FAILURES

Abstract

This study was initiated to investigate a specific type of J-47-GE engine compressor failure; namely, fatigue failure of compressor rotor and stator blades. This type of failure usually causes complete compressor disintegration.
