THE NUMERICAL SOLUTION OF THE HEAT CONDUCTION EQUATION OCCURRING IN THE THEORY OF THERMAL EXPLOSIONS

Abstract

The non-linear heat conduction equation which arises In the theory of thermal explosions has been solved by numerical Integration for the semi-infinite slab and solid cylinder, and sphere geometries without restrictive approximations.
