THE KOREAN DATA COLLECTION PROGRAM,

Abstract

A brief and general description is presented of the collection of detailed data on the usage of material by a representative sample of naval ships. The data cover the period of the Korean conflict and a subsequent span of 2 or 3 yr. The highlights and major problems involved in the process of data collection are described as well as the reduction of the raw data. A brief discussion is made of the probable use of the data as sources of information upon which revised judgments and practices in certain logistics fields may be based.
