AN ADIABATIC CALORIMETER FOR THE DETERMINATION OF THE SPECIFIC HEATS OF CASTING RESINS

Abstract

This report describes an adiabatic calorimeter, with temperature controlling and measuring instrumentation, which has been developed for the determination of the specific heat of casting resins as a function of temperature over the range 30 to 16O deg. C. Results are presented for a number of typical casting resins. In some resins changes in specific heat values are observed wh1ch are indicative of second order transitions.
