Method for Modifying Polyhydroxy Ethers.
Abstract
The patent application provides a method for modifying polyhydroxy eithers, derived from epichlorohydrin and bisphenol A. It comprises mixing such an ether with a material selected from the group consisting of dianisidine diisocyanate, polymethylene polyphenylisocyanate, a melamine-formaldehyde resin and trimellitic anhydride, and heating the resulting mixture under pressure. The method provides molded articles which have improved thermal and physical properties.
