Sliding Segment Roller.

Abstract

The patent application describes a roller for providing for a directional change in a flexible strip having a plurality of movable segments on a roller core which are moved axially as the strip is pulled over the roller. The segments are spring loaded so as to return to their original position when they disengage the flexible strip.
