Columbium-Base Alloy.

Abstract

The patent application concerns columbium-based alloys having high tensile strength, excellent creep-resistance and excellent workability at elevated temperatures. The alloys are composed of from about 10 to 28 weight percent tungsten, about 3.5 to 5.0 weight percent hafnium, about 0.04 to 0.10 weight percent nitrogen, about 0.04 to 0.10 weight percent carbon with the balance columbium.
