Air-to-Air Fire Control Disturbed Line Method and System.

Abstract

The patent application relates to a disturbed line air-to-air fire control method and system. Lead angle errors of a target and its range are used to compute range vectors in aircraft body coordinates, rotated using a directional cosine matrix into inertial axes and then differentiated and filtered to obtain relative position, velocity, and acceleration. This information is used together with wind velocity and altitude to compute trajectories and obtain miss vectors which are converted into display displacements for readout of the relative position of the target and the miss.
