Inertial Line of Sight Guidance System for Free Falling Bodies.

Abstract

The patent application relates to an inertial line of sight guidance system for free falling bodies using three axis gyroscopes and having movable control surfaces including an accelerometer triad to directly measure accelerations normal to the flight path. It contains an autopilot subsystem to combine the signals from the gyroscopes and accelerometers with constant factors to provide an accurate line of flight to a designated target.
