Summary Technical Report of Division 19, NDRC. Volume 1. Miscellaneous Weapons

Abstract

The miscellaneous weapons described are a product of research by a special group established to develop methods and equipment useful in waging underground and unorthodox war. The weapons were largely utilized by organizations like OSS, and some never left the laboratory. Included are small arms, such as special grenades, tiny cartridge discharge tubes, spigot mortar, and oil slick igniter and other explosives; special fuzes, such as incendiary pencils and radio controlled fuzes; short-range telegraphic and voice communications; and field accessories, such as demolition tape.
