A DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ANALYZING LINE OF SIGHT

Abstract

Line-of-sight analysis is an important aspect of many geographic problems, particularly those relating to tactical, military planning. The standard procedure for solving such problems requires drawing earth profiles. Although it produces accurate results, this method takes agreat deal of time. A device has been developed which will produce equally accurate results in considerably less time. When the underlying principle and the procedure for operating the device are clearly understood. It is a simple matter to make the necessary adjustments tosolve a variety of problems.
