Abstract

Research and development activity of Committee on Camouflage is presented with primary consideration given to protection of offensive weapons. Development of chlorophyll paint, color transients, water surface camouflage, camouflage paint, camouflage detection, ship camouflage, "Yehudi Project," and visibility of targets are discussed. "Yehudi" project involves installation of headlights along front of airplane which renders the aircraft invisible. "Black Widow" is a paint which makes an airplane invisible in a searchlight beam.
