Abstract

Work done by the National Defense Research Committee is evaluated. Studies and investigations of such problems as hydraulic fluids that could be utilized at extreme low temperatures, explosion prevention in fuel tanks, chemical compositions for flare, hydrogen production, dyes for sea markers, mustard gases, exterior ballistics, corrosion-resistant coatings, nitrate production, and the production of hydrogen peroxide are included in summarization of the investigation.
