DUCTED PROPELLERS. A CRITICAL REVIEW OF THE STATE OF THE ART

Abstract

A critical survey is made of the state of the art of ducted propellers. Thc survey is divided generally into theoretical and exprimental research, and a comprehensive table of the latter is presented showing the type and extent of experimental investigations carried out. Specific reports are discussed where appropriate and various aspects of the ducted propeller problem are considered in sone detail. Finally, a summary of the state of the art are presented along with some recommedations for future research.
