NIGHT AIRGLOW INTENSITY

Abstract

INTENSITY VARIATIONS OF THE SPECTRAL LINES OF THE NIGHT AIRGLOW SPECTRUM DURING 1958-1959 WERE STUDIED. Lines in the range from green to infrared were investigated. Special attention was paid to emission line H alpha 6526 angstroms of atomic hydrogen, to the range from 6200 to 6700 angstroms, and to the infrared range from 9400 to 10,550 angstroms of the hydroxyl lines.
