KABANOV'S EFFECT

Abstract

The long-range, short-wave backscattering of radio waves from the ground is discussed. The source outlines the history of N. I. Kabanov's backscattering experiments and indicates their status. Long-range reflection of short radio waves from the ground became a subject of interest in 1946. Results of experiments performed from 1947 to 1959 are summarized.
