ABSORPTION ANALYSIS APPLIED TO NEUTRONS IN A THERMAL COLUMN

Abstract

The energy spectrum of diffuse neutrons in the thermal column of the MIT reactor was determined by analyzing transmission data. The results are compared to a Maxwellian distribution and to an experiment done on collimated thermal neutrons. (Author)
