PHYSICAL CONSTANTS OF LIQUID OZONE

Abstract

At the Department of Physical Chemistry, Moscow State U iversity, an attempt was made to determine the density of liquid ozone with reliable accuracy. Values for ozone density in available literature differ as much as 8%. The method used involved the condensation of gaseous 100% ozone at -195.6 C. A check of the method with liquid oxygen indicated good results. The average value for ozone density obtained is 1.619 ! 0.004 and is in good agreement with the most current data available. Experi ental errors in measurement did not exceed ! 0.002%. (Author)
