METHODS OF FLIGHT TESTING IN THE SOVIET UNION

Abstract

This Report briefly reviews flight testing methods adopted in the Soviet Union. It is based on data published in the Soviet Union during the last few years. Manoeuvrability and handling qualities are the subjects mainly discussed and a Table is included which summarises the flight tests required to provide the information necessary to determine the characteristics of a new design of aircraft.
