ECONOMICAL OPTIMUM DISTANCE BETWEEN WIRES OF A GROUND WIRE SYSTEM

Abstract

A theoretical and numerical investigation of the economical optimum distance between the wires of a ground wire system with parallel wires is described. The criterion for economical optimum is to minimize the sum of the annual costs for the wires and for the losses in the ground. Efield-losses as well as H-field-losses have been taken into account.
