THE ANGULAR DISTRIBUTION OF GAMMA RAYS RESULTING FROM NEUTRON CAPTURE IN AIR

Abstract

An analytic procedure is presented for calculating the angular distribution of gamma rays resulting from neutron capture in air. Numerical results are tabulated for four source-detector separation distances, eight angles of emission at the source, and fifteen initial neutron-energy groups. Agreement with Monte Carlo calculations is within the estimated accuracy of the Monte Carlo data. (Author)
