RECRYSTALLIZATION PROCESSES IN NICKEL ALLOYS

Abstract

The wide se of nickel alloys in gas turbine engines has drawn the attention of investigators to these alloys. However, systematic data on the effect of alloying elements on recrystallization processes in binary alloys of nickel are lacking, except for the Ni-W system. Because of this, the effect of Mo, Cr, Ti, and Co on the softening, recovery, and recrystallization process in nickel-base binary alloys was investigated. (Author)
