A RADIO-FREQUENCY BURST SOURCE FOR ELECTRO-EXPLOSIVE DEVICE TESTING

Abstract

The principles and design of a 5 megacycle burst source for electro-explosive device testing are developed. The source is capable of delivering 100-watt power bursts for pulse widths of 100 to 1,000 microseconds. The application to firing studies and techniques for evaluating observed traces are presented.
