DAMPING MEASUREMENTS WITH A STING-SUPPORTED BEARING-PIVOT DYNAMIC BALANCE

Abstract

Results of damping-in-pitch tests of a flaredafterbody re-entry shape are presented. Measurements using a sting-supported bearing-pivot system were made at free-stream Mach number equals 8 and over an amplitude range up to about 11 deg. (Author)
