HIGH TEMPERATURE DIELECTRIC LIQUID MATERIALS FOR POTTING OF ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS

Abstract

The object of this program was the preparation and evaluation of thermally stable liquids that possess acceptable dielectric properties for the potting of electronic components operating in high temperature environments. The compounds synthesized and evaluated included: benzylated o-terphenyl; polyphenyl ethers; aromatic silicates and polysilicates; diphenyldibenzylsilane; o-tercyclohexyl; phenoxy derivatives of diphenylmethane; chlorinated biphenyls (Aroclors); silicone oils; and ferrocenyl polysiloxanes.
