SYNTHESIS OF COMPOUNDS FOR USE IN CHEMICAL WARFARE RESEARCH

Abstract

A method is reported for the synthesis of each of the following compounds: 2-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde, 3-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde, 1-(2',2'- diphenyl-2'-hydroxyethyl)-4-methylpiperazine dihydrochloride, 3-beta- hydroxyethyl4-methyl-5-phenyloxazolidine hydrochloride, 2hydroxymethyl-1- cyclohexanone, 4-nitro-7,8,9,10tetrahydrophenanthridine, 2-(4'phenylpiperidino) ethanol, and 1-(4'-pyridyl)-2-nitro-2-phenylethanol.
