ANALYTICAL STUDY OF THE BEHAVIOUR OF FLUIDS IN POROUS SOLID MEDIA

Abstract

Progress is reported for work accomplished on the following phases: (1) a restatement of the problem of capillary flow; (2) an analysis of the meaning and application of the Brittin equation; (3) further development of the network model procedure of study, including machine programming and experimental aspects; and (4) determination of the velocity and acceleration dependency in the measurement of contact angle of moving fluid-fluid interfaces.
