UTILIZATION OF ATOMIC ENERGY IN THE PETROLEUM INDUSTRY

Abstract

The utilization of nuclear radiation in oil refining is discussed. The following phases are considered: (1) the use of radioactive radiation for the establishment of new technological processes of refining of petroleum and petroleum products or the improvement of existing processes; (2) the application of radioactive isotopes for the control and automation of plant processes of oil refining; and (3) the application of radioactive isotopes as labeled atoms in research.
