SOME CONSIDERATIONS ON POSSIBLE CALCULATIONS CONCERNING SUB-SONIC SHEAR-FLOW TURBULENCE

Abstract

The problems considered in this paper are (a) the theoretical determination of the mean velocity profile of a simple stationary turbulent shear flow and (b) the determination of the lowest critical Reynolds number for which such a turbulent flow is possible. The general case of three-dimensional fluctuations is considered. (Author)
