PRODUCING MOLYBDENUM ALLOYS BY KROLL REDUCTION AND EXTRUSION CONSOLIDATION

Abstract

The work performed in this period was an extension of that previously initiated: design and construction of a suitable Kroll reactor was pursued; the feasibility of preparing a solid feed for the reactor was investigated; and design and construction of equipment to be used in the consolidation of the reduced metal was carried on.
