MAGNETOHYDRODYNAMICS AND ENERGY CONVERSION

Abstract

A comparison is made between two simple electrohydrodynamic and magnetohydrodynamic systems involving a surface interaction in plane geometry. The surface dynamics are formulated in terms of the surface traction of Korteweg and Helmholtz (Direct conversion of Heat to Electricity, M.I.T., 1960). Experimental results are given for the two electrohydrodynamic cases. (Author)
