RESEARCH IN THE FIELD OF PROPAGATION AND INTERACTION OF ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES AND SPACE CHARGE TYPE WAVES IN HOMOGENEOUS AND INHOMOGENEOUS MEDIA

Abstract

The research dealt with various phases of electromagnetic and electronic wave interaction with application to the fields of electromagnetic wave propagation and microwave type physics. Typical applications: Reflection of electromagnetic waves from electron streams, excitation of electromagnetic waves in plasmas, electron stream whistler interaction in the exosphere, wave interaction in traveling wave tubes, etc. A general coupling theory was developed for multi-anisotropic wave media. It was shown that several Doppler modes, of different frequencies, may be excited by a moving source in highly dispersive media. (Author)
