OPTICAL SATURATION OF F-CENTER SPIN RESONANCE

Abstract

CW absorption of F-band light by F-centers in KCl crystals at 2 K and 3 kilogauss is found to speed up spin relaxation and to raise the steady state spin temperature. The observations are well fitted to the model of the F-center involving no preferential optical pumping, as expected. (Author)
