THE MAGNETIC SUSCEPTIBILITIES OF CRYSTALLINE STABLE FREE RADICALS IN THE 77 - 293 DEGREES K. TEMPERATURE RANGE

Abstract

The powder susceptibilities of crystalline stable free radical samples of Wurster's blue, DPPH and 1,3-bisdiphenylene-2-phenylallyl have been measured as a function of temperature from 77293 K. All exhibit negative Curie points with values in the range -36 K to -6 K. For Wurster's blue, the Neel temperature is found to be 186 K. The microbalance system constructed for the measurements is described. (Author)
