REDOX FUEL CELLS

Abstract

INVESTIGATIONS OF THE REDUCTION OF Ti(IV) to Ti (III) at temperatures in the region of 200 C have been hampered by the rapid hydrolysis, to give insoluble TiO2, of the Ti ions. Preliminary tests have shown that the stannous-stannic system is stable at these temperatures in 4N H2SO4. Reactivity tests will be made on this system. (Author)
