INVESTIGATION OF AGO PRIMARY BATTERIES

Abstract

Experimental Zn/KOH/AgO sealed flat plate cells delivered 75 whr/lb and 6.25 whr/cu in. at the 5-hr rate to 84 whr/lb and 7 whr/cu in. at the 100-hr rate. Experimental unsealed cells retained 46 to 50% of their new capacity after 6 wk storage at 160 F. No improvement in cell performance was obtained at -30 F.
