Plastic Buckling of Cyclindrical Shells for Casaes of Non-Homogeneous Stress Distribution

Abstract

An attempt was made to derive a simple design formula for computing the plastic reduction coefficient to be applied to the elastic buckling stress in the computation of plastic buckling stresses of cylindrical shells subjected to bending.
