RIGID VERTICAL THIN BARRIER

Abstract

A theory is presented for the transmission of waves past a rigid vertical thin barrier extending from above the water surface to some distance below the surface. This theory is based upon consideration of wave power transmission. Laboratory data are presented to show that this theory is useful from the engineering design standpoint, but that improvements are desirable. (Author)
