CREEP BENDING OF COMPRESSIBLE PLATES

Abstract

A nonlinear moment-curvature relation is developed for the creep-bending analysis of thin-plates made of compressible materials. This relation is used to analyse two specific annular plates: An annular plate simply supported along the outer edge and free at the inner edge, with uniform radial moments applied along the supported circumference; an annular plate clamped along the inner edge and free at the outer edge, with uniform radial moments applied along the free circumference. Solutions for moment distributionsAND DEFLECTIONS ARE PRESENTED FOR BOTH PROBLEMS. (Author)
