RADIAL FLUX OR FIELD OF AN ISOTROPIC, CYLINDRICAL SOURCE OF FINITE EXTENT

Abstract

The radial electric field intensity or the radial particle flux at any point outside a cylindrical, isotropic source of finite extent is derived. Expressions for the flux are obtained in terms of complete elliptic integrals. Results are presented in graphical form for a wide range of source lengths. (Author)
