EFFECT OF PLASTIC DEFORMATION ON THE ELASTIC PROPERTIES OF NICKELCHROME ALLOYS

Abstract

CONCLUSIONS: Experiments showed the possibility of utilizing ultrasonic rate measurements for the detection of texture and the degree of its formation in metals and alloys possessing the anisotropy of elastic properties. A reduction in the Young's modulus during plastic deformation in the case of Ni-Cr alloys is connected not only with the origination of texture, but, in all probability, is caused also by the destruction of the K-state.
