ON THE BENDING OF THE CURVE OF A THIN-WALLED TUBE, THE CROSS SECTION OF WHICH HAS A FORM CLOSE TO CIRCULAR, IN THE PRESENCE OF EXTERNAL OR INTERNAL PRESSURE

Abstract

The shifts and stresses are determined in the curve of a thin-walled tube the cross section of which has a form slightly deviating from the circular in the case of the simultaneous action of bending moments and internal or external pressure. The deviation of the cross ection from the circular form was found to have a considerable effect on the stress and deformation state of the tube. (Author)
