A STUDY OF THE FAR INFRARED PROPERTIES OF CRYSTALS

Abstract

Calculations are presented to show how the radiation travels through the spectrometer from the grating to the Galay cell for that part of the path involving the parabolic mirror and paraboloidal cap near the receiving system. A new exit slit was introduced into the system and calculations were made. Improvements in the mechanical, optical and electrical parts of the spectrometer are reported. (Author)
