TITAN II STORABLE PROPELLANT HANDBOOK. FINAL HANDBOOK

Abstract

Summarized are the physical properties, materials compatibility, handling techniques, flammability and explosivity, and procedures for storing, cleaning, and flushing of the Titan II propellants. These propellants consisted of N2O4 as the oxidizer and a nominal 50/50 blend of UDMH (unsymmetrical dimethylhydrazine) and N2H4 as the fuel. The data presented were derived both from a literature survey and from a test program conducted at Bell Aerosystems Company and at the U.S. Bureau of Mines.
